Two
of the biggest child stars in the world, Dylan and Cole Sprouse,
from the Disney Channel's The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, starred
in their first feature film entitled The Prince and the Pauper
at the G-Star Studios as well as the stars Dyan Cannon, Sally
Kellerman, John Goodman, Kay Panabaker (Fame, Grey’s Anatomy,
CSI, Two and A Half Men); Margo Harshman from Disney’s Even
Stevens movie & TV show, Joseph Balogna, Ed Lauter who starred
in both Longest Yard pictures in 1976 & 2005, Brenda Vaccaro,
DeDee Pfeiffer, and Leo Rossi from The Accused, and Without A
Trace.
G-Star has announced the construction of the largest motion
picture sound stage in South Florida. This new addition to the
G-Star Studios is the same size as the sound stages in Los
Angeles that had the films Jurassic Park III, The Hulk, Bruce
Almighty, produced on them, and presently have in production the
TV shows Desperate Housewives and Two and A Half Men. The G-Star
Studios sound stage is larger than the new School of Cinematic
Arts sound stage at the University of Southern California (USC).
G-Star also owns more movie production equipment than NYU.
The G-Star Studios back lot contains props such as a WWII DC-3
airplane, a WWII P-47 Thunderbolt fighter plane, a 17-ton
American LaFrance fire engine, a stand-alone two bedroom
shooting house, a 750 AMP mobile motion picture generator,
lighting & grip trucks, camera trucks, and much more, that is
offered to filmmakers for no charge.
On the G-Star Studios Advisory Board is Academy Award winning
Executive Producer, Beau Rogers (Gods and Monsters) and Master
Producer Jonathan Krane. In addition, G-Star has now has one of
the most advanced high definition training programs in the
nation featuring the latest state-of-the-art HD equipment,
cameras, and editing systems.
G-Star School of the Arts has the only "entertainment law and
business course" in any high school in the nation taught by Alan
Benjamin, the former Group Senior Vice President of
Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) and United Artists (UA) Home
Entertainment Group, and Vice President and General Counsel of
United Artists. He presided over all of the James Bond and Rocky
movies, plus many others. Mr. Benjamin's course is titled
Introduction to Film and the Entertainment Business.
